It’s the penultimate round of the season for the Pirelli Moto National Superstock Championship as the whole of the British Superbike paddock rolls into the leafy surroundings of Oulton Park once again this weekend. The Cheshire circuit is only one of a few where the bikes visit twice a season and for Jordan Weaving, it’s a return that he’s particularly looking forward to. The Briggs Equipment Kawasaki sponsored Lee Hardy Racing team head into round eleven buoyant after an impressive weekend last time out at Silverstone. Weaving finished in ninth position in Northamptonshire last Sunday following a difficult start to round ten that was hampered by torrential rain adding to plenty of standing water already on the track. Over the past few seasons trips into Cheshire have been happy ones for Weaving and this season his best result of 2017 so far came around the 2.69mile circuit. Throwing into the mix the extra information the team gained by racing there earlier in the year at end of April, it all adds a little extra to the anticipation and excitement ahead of a return to the track for the Team Green rider. “I’m always excited to get back to Oulton Park, but especially after being there earlier in the season on the Kawasaki ZX-10RR we have the data to work with. I can’t wait, I really love it at Oulton and it’s a track which has treated me well in the past so I’m really excited to get going. “It’s the first time this season we’ve had back-to-back race weekends and after Silverstone I’m eager to get back onto the bike and pick up where we left off. The fans always come out at Oulton too, it seems to be a favourite of theirs as well as mine so let’s hope it’s a great weekend for everyone.”
