Jordan Weaving was born on May 15th, 1997 in Johannesburg, South Africa and learned to ride motorcycles from the tender age of four.

His parents, Colin and Vanessa, took him racing at the age of six, riding a Suzuki 80cc Gag. Some would say he was a child prodigy, racing and finishing third in the National Regions Honda CBR150 Championship aged just eight years old.

After moving 1500 miles from their home town just two years later, Weaving won the won the Western Cape Powersport Championship before moving to the UK.

Competing the British Superbike series GP125 Class in that year, he finished 9th in the championship and was riding for former British Multiple Championship Winner, GP250 rider Steve Patrickson’s team SP125. 

Over the next two years, Weaving raced amongst the world's finest young racers in the MotoGP Red Bull Rookies Championship, first on a 125cc before stepping up to a KTM 250CC Moto 3 machine as well as racing in Britain.
