It’s been almost three weeks since Jordan Weaving swung a leg over his Briggs Equipment Kawasaki ZX10RR, so this weekend can’t come quick enough as Round 10 of the Pirelli Moto British National Superstock Championship gets underway at Silverstone. Weaving is anticipating yet another strong round in what has been a largely productive maiden season in the Superstock 1000cc class for the reigning 600cc Champion. Naturally as with any racer, the young man from Gloucestershire is always looking for more and his latest visit to the world renowned circuit comes as no exception. However, despite not yet tasting victory, after picking up points and making his mark in the class at seven of the opening nine rounds of the season it’s been far from an unsuccessful campaign. Weaving’s ambitions to push some of the best riders in British racing still shines bright and after another finish inside the top ten last time out at Cadwell Park, the 20 year old is itching to get back out onto the circuit and put even bigger smiles on the faces of his team and sponsors. It’s the start of a busy week for the whole of the British Superbike paddock as following Silverstone there’s a second trip to Oulton Park this season just five days after the chequered flag this Sunday. Both circuits are favourites of Weaving so he’s aiming for two rounds to remember before the season comes to a close at Brands Hatch in October. “I can’t wait to get to the track this weekend and get out on the bike at Silverstone, it’s a track which suits my style of riding and I really enjoy it there. It could be a great weekend for the team with my teammate Jake on the other side of the garage aiming for the Superbike showdown, so I hope we can both get the results we need. “Over the course of the season my relationship with my crew has gone from strength to strength and I have 100% faith in their help and advice going into the last three rounds of the season. Of course we all want to be winning races every round but I know it’s a tough Championship and it’s about hitting my marks and putting in consistent laps and then things will take care of themselves. “It will be great to get out at Silverstone and I’ll be pushing for the front as always and I hope both Jake and I can get the results that we both want, to bring success throughout the team before heading onto Oulton next weekend in an even more positive mood.”
