Thrilling Thruxton Up Next

After being at the Northern most circuit on the calendar a couple of rounds ago, it’s a trip to the opposite end of Great Britain for the Briggs Equipment Kawasaki team who make their way down to Hampshire as the high speed circuit of Thruxton opens it’s gates to welcome them this weekend. It’s been a positive few months or so for Jordan Weaving and his squad as they have continued their record of picking up points in each meeting since the second race of the season, a tally which now extends to six rounds, stretching back to mid April. Three impressive rides from Weaving last time out at Brands Hatch, where he finished the three races in 8th, 11th and 7th places respectively, pushed the Kawasaki ZX10RR into the top ten in the Pirelli Moto National Superstock 1000 Championship. Potentially, another round of positive results for Weaving this weekend could see him move even further up the standings with just four rounds left after this one. Thruxton was the venue for an almost flawless round last season as Weaving rode to victory after taking pole position on his way to the Superstock 600 title. But rather than getting ahead of himself, the popular young rider is hoping for another progressive race after really enjoying himself at Brands Hatch. “I’m really happy with the bike after Brands, it’s feeling really good, and it’s made me look forward to Thruxton even more.” Weaving said. “Since that race I’ve been working hard at the Fifth Dimension Gym in Stroud with Fi Dean on my fitness and feel ready for this weekend's challenges. “It’s going to be tough with the straights there and with the bikes all being close in terms of top speed, which means there’s going to be a massive group going for it, but I’m up for it and every challenge we try to learn something from. “I'm really excited for Thruxton and I love the track and I know it's going to be a race like no other as with the fast sweeping corners and straights. So as I say I know there’s going to be a big group fighting together going into the first corner and as always no one is going to give a single place away. “My aim is to try to improve on our result from Brands and get ourselves closer to that top bunch but without a shadow of a doubt I will always be fighting and never giving up until we've passed the chequered flag."
